Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev won his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a torrid season, winning just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
His inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately separating with long-term coach his previous coach.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested competitive triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial championship following the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt from March of 2023.
Victory also signifies he has secured twenty-one championships at 21 distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to get a championship is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament in the past months.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and recurring emotional displays on court had caused observers to wonder if his ability to perform at the elite level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, striving to come to the net and play positively, backed up by an enhanced service.
The champion came back from a deficit in the initial set against the difficult opponent, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to go ahead.
The pair swapped breaks in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his initial professional victory, took control to push for a decider.
He defended four initial opportunities in a close final set before the Russian secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, he secured the win with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman incapable to manage a return after a lengthy match.
